Environmental Responsibility

UTS Engineering Ltd recognises that the activities of any manufacturing business has some impact on the environment and therefore aims to reduce its environmental impacts and adopt a sustainable business approach through a programme of continuous improvement.  In order to achieve our aim we will maintain full compliance with relevant legislation and also seek to adopt best environmental practices as far as reasonably practicable. We are investing money and resources into the development of our environmental management system, which will be certified to ISO14001.

Our policy looks to tackle the issues below:

  • Identify all environmental aspects of our activities.
  • Implement measures to manage all significant environmental impacts of our activities with a view to prevent pollution.
  • Make effective and efficient use of energy and raw materials

  • Put in place an effective waste management programme to minimise waste and dispose responsibly after maximising all re-use and recycling opportunities
  • Organise training campaigns to educate staff at all levels about their role and responsibilities needed to sustain a successful Environment Management System and also enhance awareness of environmental issues.
  • Review all environmental objectives and targets to ensure continual improvement and regulatory compliance.
